Auto theft can be attributed to a variety of causes. The Albuquerque Police Department historically responds to a type of auto theft during cold weather months that can be prevented - warming up an unattended vehicle. While getting into a warm vehicle on a cold morning feels good, having it disappear out of the driveway does not. Never leave your vehicle running unattended, even for a moment.
