Wet summers and dry winters in Myanmar are caused by monsoons, seasonal winds blowing over Asia for few months. Myanmar exports many precious gems, high quality stones like rubies, sapphires and jade. Myanmars forests are decreasing because of deforestation, widespread cutting of trees After independence from Britain, its economic system was socialism where most businesses are ran and owned by government Laos industry is undeveloped because of civil war, war fought by different groups in a country Vietnams rivers have many deltas, land formed by soil deposits at the mouth of the river.

Indonesia is between two tectonic plates, huge slabs of earth making the crust Malaysia is separated in two by a strait, narrow body of water between two pieces of land. Singapore is a very busy port, it is a free port where goods can be loaded and unloaded and shipped or stored without tax. In Philippines farmers cut out terraced fields to grow crops. They are stair like strips of land cut out of a hillside
