Aim: The main aim of this project is to control the home appliances using a s.m.s.

Description: This project is mainly used for secure the homes ,shopping malls,companies etc. In this project we are going to control the home appliances using an sms. In this project from our mobile we will send an sms with particular message to a particular mobile number which is in the home. This system is having a GSM modem with some peripherals to control the home devices. A SIM is inserted in this GSM modem and a message from any mobile will be sent to this SIM. This GSM modem provides the communication media between the home owner and the system by means of sms. Any number of devices can be connected at the output. whenever we send an sms from the mobile the GSM modem will read that message and it will switch to different devices depending on that message. The owner will get the device status whether that particular device is on or off. By using this project ,we can also make all the devices on or off at a time. The owner can send an sms from any where in the world. Applications: This project can be used for controlling all devices in the home with a single sms. The owner can send an sms from any where in the world. Inturn the GSM modem will send an sms about the device status. This project can also be used in big companies for controlling all systems. This is used mainly for power saving purpose. The advantage of this project is that the person can operate this from any where in the world where as in zigbee it is limited to short distances like few kilometers.
