Statistical Treatment
The following are the descriptions of some statistical procedures to be used in the study. 1.) Percentage and rank. To get the percentage of the respondents demographic profile, the total frequency is divided by the number of cases multiplied by 100. (Calmorin, L.,2001). The formula is: Formula : P = f N
2.) Weighted average (WM). The weighted average is obtained by multiplying the number of responses by the given weight and dividing results by the total number of respondents (Calmorin.L.,2001). Formula: WM = fx N where: WM = weighted mean fx = summation of weighted frequencies N = total number of respondents
3.) T-test: The t-test was used to compare two sample means when the two samples are independent of one another. The t-test, as already mentioned was used when comparing the statistical significance of a possible difference between the means of two groups on some independent variables and the two groups are independent of one another. t where: 1st sample mean 2nd sample mean 1 degree of freedom
