Safety Precautions

Safety precautions and rules must be followed when conducting experiments in the laboratory. Students may not enter the lab without a teacher present or remove chemicals/equipment without permission. Experiments should only be done with a teacher's supervision. Bunsen burners must be lit carefully and extinguished when not in use, and chemicals should never be touched with bare hands or tasted. Students should avoid running, eating, or drinking in the lab and address any accidents or injuries by following emergency procedures. The lab must be kept clean and tidy, with spills cleaned up, equipment returned to its proper place, and lights and taps turned off when finished.
