EPL - The Most Competitive League in The World
, it is no surprise as to what brought about its fame. With players like George Best, Peter Schmiechel, Thierry Henry, Paulo di Canio, Ian Wright and countless others who have entertained a wide audience of people through this league. Ever since its inception in 1992 the Premier League consisted of 20 teams playing 38 matches each from August to May and each and every match are action packed be it a wide margin of defeat or a goal-less encounter. Over the years many rivalries have stirred up, some being; Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester United and Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. Of course there are much more rivalries present. The disheartening fact is that most fans of the Premier League do not watch the lowly encounters between teams such as Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City, Swansea City and more. Fans do not realize that each one of these teams are capable of beating even the top most clubs present in the premier league. For instance, Arsenal had lost to Swansea 3-2 on 15 January 2012 at the Emirates Stadium, home ground of the Gunners, Arsenal. Manchester City who are one of the top contenders for the title this year failed to beat Everton and lost 1-0. This clearly proves that these smaller clubs are not to be taken for granted. Yes, it is more exhilarating and exciting to watch players such as Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney skim past the defenders as if they were never there; but watching the lesser known players like Scott Sinclair trail blaze past the Arsenal defense, no matter how poor it seems, is even more thrilling. It is for this very reason that the English Premier League stands as the most competitive league in the entire world and only the best of the best can play in this league. Players who start out as rookies in the Premier League are destined for greatness. Hard to believe? This name should ring a bell. Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the best player till date. Its players like him who inspire other individuals from various clubs to strive to achieve and make it big in the Football Industry. This creates a sense of competition in all the teams and no team must be taken for granted. Last time that happened Manchester United and Manchester City got knocked out in the group stages of the Champions League.
