Process Paper Rough Draft
Process Paper This topic was chosen because both of the group members were particularly interested in the guillotine. Soon the group members figured out that the guillotine met all requirements set by the National History Day committee. Plus both members love the history behind beheadings. The research for this topic was done mainly through a thorough search on the internet. E-books, PDFs, journals, and websites were used for the research. Much of the research in the beginning was focused on the guillotine. Next all research was focused on the times and reasons for the guillotines use during the French Revolution. By creating an account on National History Days website creator, the group members were able to create and develop their website. Next the participants used their own CSS coding to make the website more unique. Then the participants began placing text into the site. Later colors were added to certain pieces of text and pictures were attached to certain parts of the site. Finally the categories that arent necessarily needed on the main page were turned into sub-categories. This revolutionary device reformed the way executions would be done for more than a century. The traditional way of beheading was by hand. Executions usually were performed with an executioner with an axe and sometimes the first swing never did the job right. The guillotine eliminated that margin for error which also helped reform laws in the French Revolution.
