Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture is a popular tourist attraction known for its scenery and birdwatching. Surrounding the lake are several historic towns including Hikone castle town. Great Tourist Attractions of Japanese Landscape: Lake Biwa:

Shirarahama Kaisuiyokujo, Wakayama: Its a white sandy beach located in Nanki Shirahama Onsen (hot springs) resort. It is located in Shirarahama Shirahama-cho Nishimuro-gun, Wakayama Its 5 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by bus from JR Kinokuni Line Shirahama Station, or 15 minutes by bus from Nanki Shirahama Airport to Shirahama Onsen. Its open in early May and late August.

Lake Biwa is located in the Shiga Prefecture. Lake Biwa attracts many birds and along with them birdwatchers. There are a large number of historical towns surrounding the lake, including Hikone, with one of Japan's 12 remaining original castles, Omihachiman, with an attractive restored canal area and a number of museums. The lake is also known for beautiful sunsets, especially when viewed from the east side of the lake as the sun sets over the mountains to the west.

Shinano River:

This is the start of Shinano River at Mount Kobushi. The Shinano River is the longest river in Japan bearing the name (in the nanagano prefecture, Chikuma River) In the Niigata prefecture, it is known as the Shinano River. It is very important to the Japanese with trade.

Mount Fuji: Mount Fuji is located south west of Tokyo. The


official climbing season to climb Mount Fuji lasts for only two months from July to August. . Even during these months, when Tokyo often swelters in 40C heat, temperatures at the top can be below freezing at night and climbers must dress adequately.
