Robber

1. The main defensive call is a 2 Low boundary coverage against 11 personnel, whether in twins or with a flanker, with the safety robbing the 10 yard curl area and looking for an opposite drag route. 2. The safety does not help on #1 if #2 goes in or out like 1/4 coverage, and instead robs the 10 yard curl area. 3. There is some uncertainty about the difference between robber and 1/4 coverage, but an automatic check from 2 Low to 1/4 coverage to the field side may be safer.

#2 out-rob area look for drag

Robber field

2 Low boundary

Just talked to Dawson----will never play 2 low to field, splits are two wide for corners and safeties to support each other. This is their main call on 11 personnel, 2 Low to boundary no matter personnel twins or flanker, and Rob field. 1. 2 verts to field turns coverage? Very safe I guess 2. In Robber safety does not help out on 1 if two goes in or out like cov, he robs the 10 yard curl area and looks for opposite drag Not sure what real difference between robber and coverage is, I agree that we should have an automatic check that 2 Low becomes to field side because it is safer but not sure if Robber offers much more. Little more aggressive Safety can play at 8-10 and not worry about support #1 underneath, not a bad package to have if TE drag/ deep crossing routes are hurting us either. Double Robber is great for that as well. Thoughts?
