COURSE DESCRIPTION Knowledge on identification, processes and formation of different types of rocks, and knowledge on geological surveys and investigation methods. COURSE OBJECTIVES Students will be able to identify and explain geological features and outline the geological surveys and investigations to be conducted prior to construction of civil engineering structures
COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of this course: Students will be able to outline and describe the processes and formation of different types of rocks and geological features. Students will be able to explain the affects of geological features to many civil engineering structures Students will be able to explain the geological surveys and investigations that should be conducted prior to construction of civil engineering structures

Compulsory. Quizzes will be conducted during lecture Students with poor attendance will be barred from sitting for the final exam MC (from UMS Panel clinic) is necessary for exam/ test replacement, student should notify the lecturer within 48 hours.
