Baskin-Robbins entered the Indian market in 1993 by establishing its first shop in Mumbai. However, it made some mistakes such as targeting only upper-income households in large cities and setting up costly parlors. As a result, the company did not properly tap into the retail market in India. Moving forward, Baskin-Robbins' strategy should focus on expanding its distribution channels, targeting all types of consumers, establishing low-investment parlors, and improving customer service in order to increase sales and sustain profits.
