Total Quality

Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management philosophy focused on customer satisfaction by setting standards for quality in processes, products, and the supply chain. It originated from the work of W. Edwards Deming and J.M. Juran, who introduced it to help rebuild Japan's economy after World War 2. TQM integrates management techniques, improvement efforts, and tools to provide high quality products and services, increase productivity, enhance competitive position, and face competition through continuous quality checks and improvement.
