E. Lesson Proper 1. Remind them about their assignment last Friday to read the story The Smith Who Could Not Get Into the Hell, by Peter Asbjornsen. 2. Discuss a short background about Peter Asbjornsens life. - The student will read the information about the author.

Peter Christen Asbjrnsen (15 January 1812 6 January 1885) was a Norwegian writer and scholar. Peter Christen Asbjrnsen was born in Christiania (now Oslo) and was descended from a family originating in Otta in Gudbrandsdal, which is believed to have become extinct with his death. He became a student at the University of Oslo in 1833, but as early as 1832, in his twentieth year, he had begun to collect and write down fairy tales and legends. He later walked on foot the length and breadth of Norway, adding to his stories.

G. Generalization The story shows that there are people who used to fool others just to get what they want in life, and they even trade their great possessions just to have it. Sometimes they bargain in to the devil and do not trust the Almighty God. They do not ask for His help. And at the end he ends up in nowhere. H. Valuing Process Do not do unto others what you do not want others do unto you.- The golden rule. The story is about that whatever we did/done to our neighbor will reflect to us in the future. We must be honest and do the promise that made with them, in adults or even to the young ones so that in return, they will trust us too. I. Evaluation 1. Who is the author of the short story? 2. Why did the smith bargain with the devil? - Students answer.

3. Did the smith succeed on his rival with Our Lord? 4. When Our Lord asked the smith to make three wishes, what did he wish for? 5. If you want something to be or to have, are you going to deal with devil too or pray to Our Lord to have that? J. Assignment The teacher will give assignment for tomorrow - The student will copy the assignment.
