This weekly newsletter from Mrs. Walton's class provides information about the upcoming week of April 2-6. Students will continue their reading, math, science, and social studies lessons. In reading, they will work on Adventure 10, in math they will focus on multiplication and division, in science they will study seeds, and in social studies they will read and do activities on Pink and Say. There is an awards ceremony and PTA meeting on April 3rd, and spring break runs from April 9th-13th. The teacher uses a new behavior system called Class Dojo to track student points for positive and negative behaviors each day.

Reading:
We will continue working on Adventure 10 in our Voyager Reading Program.

Upcoming Events
4/3: Awards Ceremony @ 9:30 4/3: PTA Meeting 4/9-4/13: Spring Break 5/8: PASS Testing

Math:

We will continue Unit 9, which focuses on multiplication and division.

Science:

In science, we will continue our animal and plant unit. We will continue focusing on seeds.

Social Studies:

We will be reading Pink and Say and completing activities in class related to the book.

Points in Communication Log: Please be sure to check your childs communication log and DOG folder daily. We have started a new behavior system called Class Dojo. Students can earn points for positive behaviors and can also lose points for negative behaviors. I write down daily how many points your child earns. The higher the points, the better their day was. This has somewhat replaced the previous behavior system, although I still try to circle how their day was.
