Be a powerful tool to use for purposes such as motivation, influence, persuasion, informing, translation, or simply entertaining. Tips on public speaking : 1. Know the room 2. Know the audience 3. Know your material 4. Relax 5. Visualise yourself giving your speech 6. Realise that people want you to succeed 7. Dont apologize 8. Concentrate on the message-not the medium 9. Turn nervousness into positive energy 10. Gain experience

How to give a speech without dying 1. Be prepared Prepared an outline and put them on index cards or a sheet of paper. 2. Write your own introduction Introduction should include your credentials and other important points from your bio. 3. Dress comfortably 4. Breathe Take a deep breath. If too quickly, take another breathe before you continue. 5. With practice, you can become confident, polished speaker Take advantage of opportunities to hone your skills. 6. Arrive early Check out the room 7. Adjust your attitude Keep reminding yourself that audience wants you to succeed. 8. Smile Make you look confident 9. Speak from notes or memory Dont read your text 10. Speak as if you are holding an animated conversation Speak in language, images, and terms that the audience readily understands. 11. Be yourself Good sense of humour, use it. Never imitate another speaker.
