Meijer Customer Service Representative

Open nationwide but it is preferred if you live in the following states: Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Illinois. Candidates from Washington state are not eligible for this position. This position is a part-time, year-round role, working as a customer service representative answering calls for an employer's toll-free customer service phone line.

Before you will be interviewed for this opening, you need to successfully complete NTIs Call Center Agent eCommerce Training. This training class consists of (two) 4 hour instructor led classes. Once you pass this training, you will be contacted for an interview. If you are selected to move forward with the application process, you will be contacted by NTI to register for NTIs Call Center Agent eCommerce Training. Job requirements:

Must be able to commit to work at least 24 hours per week schedule. Must be willing to work every weekend. This includes both Saturdays and Sundays with days off during the Monday-Friday work week. Maintain a minimum productivity standard of 70-80 calls per hour. Answer incoming telephone calls from customers and employees regarding: general store information, price and product availability, billing inquiries, order processing, and member benefits. Maintain the highest quality of customer service during calls, deal tactfully to resolve customer complaints, compliments, and inquiries, and follow the appropriate company procedures. Shifts are available between 11am and 8pm EST. The pay rate is $9 per hour.

Personal Requirements:

Extensive customer service and telecommunication experience required E-commerce, medical billing, or insurance experience preferred High School diploma or equivalent Type accurately at a minimum speed of 20 words per minute Document prior work experience including a minimum of six months of customer service or related experience Possess proficient computer skills to navigate and multitask in multiple applications Demonstrate competence in operating a PC, and using software such as Microsoft Office (Candidates will be provided extensive training on job-specific software) Communicate effectively with customers Meet all accuracy standards and service observation (quality monitoring of calls) Meet established attendance/adherence standards

Pass regularly scheduled knowledge testing Pass a background investigation that includes a criminal investigation and a credit check. **Note: This position will not accept any candidates with ANY type of criminal convictions.

(you can test your internet speed by going to speedtest.net) o During work shift no other devices (other PCs, ipad, Xbox, Wii, or any other game system) should be connected to your internet that may reduce you internet speeds o No toolbars, weatherbugs, skype sessions, or streaming video/games when on business time o A Modem is required Phone line to dedicate to work during your working hours. Must be a land line. o NO Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP)-(Offered by companies such as Vonage, Comcast, Charter, etc) o Call waiting must be deactivated before training. (Consult with your phone company to obtain deactivation code.
