7TH GRADE MATH I am really looking forward to this year!

We will continue building on the students basic math skills using the C-Scope Curriculum. Please give your child a lot of encouragement and support as he/she faces an exciting new challenge this year. GRADING POLICY Daily work = 40% of the total grade Quizzes and Tests = 60% of the total grade Homework is due the following day that the homework is assigned. If for some reason the student does not have his/her homework the day it is due, he/she will be allowed to turn it in no more than one day late and will receive a grade no higher than a 70. If the student fails to turn in the assignment, he/she will receive a grade of zero. If your child is absent he/she is responsible for getting his/her own make up work as soon as he/she returns to class. The assignments will be posted on the make up work board. They will have one day for each day they miss to turn in their make up work. SUPPLY LIST 1. #2 pencils wooden pencils with erasers dont break as easily as mechanical pencils 2. Grading pens (not black) 3. Composition notebook 4. Highlighters 5. 2 large boxes of Kleenex 6. 3 Ring Binder (2 inch) 7. Wide ruled notebook paper 8. Colored Pencils 9. Dry erase markers CLASS RULES 1. Be prepared and in the room when the tardy bell rings. 2. Respect others and their property 3.
