Equipping students to impact the world for Christ Do everything in love. I Corinthians 16:14
Dear Parents,
We continue to remember Mrs. Hino and her mother in our prayers. Mrs. Paul will be the substitute teacher again this week. We are thankful to her for all that she is doing. Please note that the Technology Tidbits for this month has been cancelled. We have had a lot of runny noses in second grade. It would be helpful if you could send in a box of tissues with your child to help us get to the end of the school year. Bible - Please ask your child if they have completed all of the Bible memory work; some children are still missing verses. The last unit we will be working on is Christs return to earth as seen in Revelation. We will focus on the new heaven and the new earth. There is a new Bible verse this week, Revelation 5:12. Language arts - The students are continuing to work on their research for the class aquarium. An important skill that they are practicing is note taking. A new spelling list with long a words is up on Spelling City. This week we will be starting the end-of-year reading assessments. These give a lot of information about how each child has grown as a reader. Its exciting to see the progress made since the beginning of the school year. Mathematics - The students will be practicing and reviewing a variety of concepts. Please encourage your child to practice on IXL at home also. Mrs. Hino is able to check progress on IXL from America.
