SAMPLE GLR and CT Lesson Plan I.

Objectives: GLR: Increase participation of the pupils during storytelling and other

reading activities. CT: The children will be able to answer questions about the story

listened to.

Subject Matter: GLR: CT: Story: Goldilocks and the Three Bears Answering questions about the story listened to.

Procedure: A. Genuine Love for Reading 1. Unlocking of difficulties a. Unlock the following words using pictures and gestures Forest Bear Porridge Chair Bed

b. Place the correct word with its corresponding picture on the blank to complete each sentence. Choose the answer from the choices. 1. The ________ is green. 2. There was a big, brown ________ in the zoo. 3. The ________ is so delicious. 4. The girl sat on the ________. 5. I like to sleep on my ________. 2. Motivation Show: Picture of Goldilocks Ask: What do you see in the picture? What is the color of her hair? Is her hair straight or curly?

Show: Picture of a bear

Ask:

What do you see in the picture? Have you seen a bear before? Where do you see bears? What does a bear sounds like? Who can sound like a bear?

3. Motive Question Today, you will hear a story about a girl who went for a walk in the forest and ended up in the house of 3 bears. We will find out what happened to Goldilocks in the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. 4. Setting of Standards in listening to a story 5. Storytelling: Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
