This story telling is imaginary or based on a real incident which purposed to amuse / entertain the reader and to give a moral value to the reader. Narrative always deal with some problems which lead to the climax than turn into a solution to problem. The generic structure of narrative text are: Orientation : introduce the participants in the story(who are involved in the story) and talk about the setting (when and where) Complication: tell the beginning of the problem which lead to the crisis (climax) of the main participants Resolution: shows the solution to the main problem which lead happy, sad(tragic) ending. Re-orientation: (its only an addition/optional) or the closing which almost given by the writer to give moral lesson or advise to the reader. BUGGY RACES Orientation Once upon a time there live two best friends, the hare and the tortoise. They like to race against each other, but the here always won. Complication: One day, the hare asked the tortoise to race down to the beach. The tortoise refused, he said that he will loose anyway. The hare replied in a kind voice that he felt sorry about it. Reorientation: But the text day, the hare found a way to race the tortoise that would be fair and lots of fun too. He asked the tortoise to come with him. The tortoise was slowly plodding over the sand hill towards the beach. Now the two friends can race against each other all day and something tells me that the tortoise might win this time.
The Fly and the Bull There was once a little fly who thought he was very important. He felt proud of himself. One sunny morning, he flew around looking for someone to talk to. He saw a bull grazing in a field. He decided to fly down to talk to him. The little fly flew down and buzzed around the bulls head. The bull did not bother him. He went on chewing grass. The fly then buzzed right inside the bulls ear. The bull continued chewing grass. The fly thought, What a stupid animal! Now, the fly decided to land on the bulls horns to make the bull notice him. He waited for the bull to say something but the bull kept quiet.
The fly then shouted angrily, Oh, Bull, if you find that I am too heavy for you, let me know and Ill fly away!. The bull laughed and said, Little fly, I dont care if you stay or leave. You are so tiny and that your weight does not make any difference to me, so please be quiet and leave me alone.
The Silver Key There was a traveler going to a distant town. When he reached the town it was almost midnight. He came to an inn but it locked from the inside. He knocked at the door. Who are you? asked a voice from inside the inn. What do you want? The door cannot be unlocked at such an odd hour. The traveler needed rest, food and shelter. He said, Please, innkeeper, unlock the door. See, how cold outside! Its a strange lock and can be opened only with a silver key, replied the innkeeper. The traveler passed a silver coin through a slit in the door, got the door unlocked and entered into the inn. I have left one of my two bags outside, said the traveler. Will you please bring it in? No sooner had the innkeeper gone out than traveler locked the door from inside. The greedy innkeeper was now shut out. He requested the traveler to unlock the door. Im helpless, replied the traveler. Its a strange lock. It can be opened only with a silver key. The innkeeper was obliged to push through the slit a silver coin. The traveler got back his rupee and unlocked the door.

Long-long time ago there live two brother. They had a completely different in characters. The big brother was very stingy and greedy. He never stars his wealth (things s.o. has). Than the little brother were very generous and kind to poor people. He even had no money left because he had shared it with the poor. One day the generous brother was sitting in his garden when suddenly a little bird fell on his leg. It was wounded. He took care of the bird than let it flew. After sometime the bird returned to him gave watermelon seed. The generous brother than planted the seed and watered it until it grew into a good watermelon plant. Yet, the plant was very strange. It had only one fruit, a big and a heavy one. When the watermelon was ripe enough, the generous brother picked it into two. How surprised he was. The watermelon was full of gold. The generous brother sold the gold and become very rich. He built a very big house and bough a very large field. Still he never forgot to share his wealth to poor people.
