What's The Time MR Wolf

This document provides instructions for a children's game called "What's the Time Mr. Wolf?". One player is designated as Mr. Wolf and stands away from the other players. The other players chant "What's the time Mr. Wolf?" Mr. Wolf responds with either a time like 3 o'clock, and the players take that many steps, or "It's Dinner Time" and chases the players back to their starting point, trying to tag one to become the new Mr. Wolf.

AIM: To practice telling the time and counting ( and having fun) INSTRUCTIONS: One player is chosen to be Mr.

. Wolf. Mr. Wolf stands at the opposite end of the playing field away from the other players, facing away from them. A call and response then takes place. All players except for Mr. Wolf chant in unison: Whats the time Mr. Wolf? Then Mr. Wolf will answer in one of two ways: 1. Mr. Wolf may call a clock time (e.g. 3 oclock). The other players will then take that many steps out loud as they go towards him (one, two,... ). Then they ask the question again. 2. Mr. Wolf may call Its Dinner Time! Then Mr. Wolf will turn and chase the other players back to their starting point. If Mr. Wolf successfully tags a player, that player then becomes the new Mr. Wolf for the next round.
