3rd Grade January 2009 Newsletter

The third grade newsletter provides updates on Reader's Workshop, Writer's Workshop, Social Studies/Science, and Everyday Math. In Reader's Workshop, students are working on identifying causes and effects and forming conclusions from texts. In Writer's Workshop, students will write responses to literature by writing letters to characters. In Social Studies, students will study and compare life in China and America. In Science, students will study electricity after finishing a unit on energy. Everyday Math will focus on multiplication and division, with students expected to learn their multiplication tables.
