This document provides a diagram of the path that weft yarn takes when being inserted into fabric by a rapier weaving machine. The yarn travels from the package, through the gripper head and receiver head where it is inserted into the shed, then through the reed and heald frames where it is beaten up to form the fabric, and finally wound onto the fabric roll.
