2. Known Issues for Release v02.00.00.01

2.1 802.1X SNMP Authentication Traps
SNMP traps that should be sent by the switch on the outcome of 802.1X authentication events are not transmitted. However, the 802.1X authentication process functions correctly, and the web interface correctly reflects the status of the authentication.

2.2 Cable Diagnostics

Cable diagnostics do not work on the Gigabit ports.

3. Issues Resolved in Release v02.00.00.01

3.1 Auto Logout of Web Interface
To improve user security, in this release of code the user interface will time out after approx. 10 mins. of no activity.

3.2 Support for 3Com Detect Tool

This release of code now supports the new 3Com Detect tool in addition to the 3Com Switch Discovery application.

3.3 Traffic Statistics

In this release of code it is now possible to reset the traffic statistics/counters to zero.

4. Upgrading Software

5. Additional Information
5.1 Downgrading to Previous Versions of Operating Software
Due to minor changes to the internal design of your switch, newer versions of the switch cannot be reprogrammed with versions of operational software prior to this release (v02.00.00.01). You can see what version of hardware you have by viewing the Hardware Revision information on the Summary page of the web interface. If you have a switch with a hardware version of rv1.0 or later, it cannot run on code released prior to this version. Attempts to load earlier releases will result in a Data Invalid message being displayed during the upgrade process. Switches with a Hardware Revision of R01 can use any released software.
