MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (ENGINEERING)

M.B.A. PROGRAMME
The two year full time programme is specially meant for engineering graduates and post graduates in science, and hence offers major specialisation in areas of Engineering Management and minor specialisation in regular areas. The programme provides a wide range of choices to the students resulting in attractive employment opportunities at the completion of the programme by incorporating a combination of various technical skills and focused decision making in the business environment. The degree offered will be M.B.A. with specialisation in Production and Operations Management/Information Technology Management/Technology Management. Minimum educational qualification The minimum qualification for admission to the programme is Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy/ or M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics or Statistics. Eligibility requirements Candidates who possess the qualifications as in as above are eligible to seek admission to MBA. Candidates of general category/OBC seeking admission to the postgraduate programmes must have at least 55% marks or equivalent at the qualifying degree level; SC/ST category candidates, must have 50% marks or equivalent. The percentage of marks will be considered as aggregate awarded for the qualifying degree. The SC/ST category candidates must submit the requisite certificate from a competent authority along with application form. Admission procedure Candidates will be selected for admission in the programme on the basis of merit in X, XII and qualifying degree followed by group discussion and the personal interview organised by the college for the academic session 2011-12. Number of Seats The regular intake is 40 in total. Seats for different categories are reserved as per the reservation policy implemented by the University. The candidates claiming reservation shall be required to submit appropriate certificates at the time of personal interview failing which they shall be treated in general category only.
