childrens team news - august 2012

september arrives!
an update for chidlrens team members
Thank you so much for being part of the Childrens Team from September! who goes where? Morning : A reminder that all but a few children are staying with last years group. That means that the groups are simply 'getting older' with them! Not too many changes beyond that: simply Explorers and Groovers moving rooms: Crche (for Babies & pre-Nursery School toddlers) in Main Hall Explorers (Nursery Year) :: in The Studio 'garden room' Gems (Reception & Y1) :: Stage Room Movers (Yrs 2 & 3) :: Small Hall Groovers (Yrs 4, 5, 6 & 7) :: The Underground

Afternoon : There's little changing here either, since Yr 6 have already moved up to The Underground, so the groups look like this - simply 'getting older' with their children: Babies & toddlers - we plan an 'in church' crche area soon Stars (Nursery to Y1) :: Stage Room Movers (Yrs 2 & 3) :: Small Hall Groovers (Yrs 4, 5 & 6) :: Main Hall Underground (Yrs 7+) :: Underground(!) Were one week short of leaders in all but Underground, so the plan is to experiment with combining Movers and Groovers (Stars are welcome too - lets see!) once a month in the Main Hall for an all-together praise and prayer time. training Were planning three sets of training for childrens leaders in the coming year. The first is this coming month. If youve not been to one of the introductory sessions, please aim to get to one this September - and theres an evening on First Aid and a training event on behaviour issues: something many of us feel we could do with some help on! Fri 7th (9.30am) - Children's Leadership Introductory Session Thu 20th (8pm) - Children's Leadership Introductory Session Tue 25th (7pm) - St John's Ambulance First Aid (limited spaces) Wed 26th (8pm) - Managing Group Behaviour
