METHOD OF WORK WATER STORAGE INSTALLATION The sequence and method of work for water storage facility is as follows:a.

Site preparation i) carried out in accordance with approved water tower layout design. ii) The ground is leveled and any obstruction to the base is removed or rectified. b. Tower footing preparation i) Excavation is carried out to accommodate formwork and approved concrete footing size prior to lean concreting Tower coordinates are ascertained and setting out is

15mm G15 on footing base. Overnight curing of the concrete is allowed prior to subsequent activity. ii) Wooden formwork is installed for all footings and

reinforcement bar Y12 is tied together with extended J-bolt prior to concreting with G25 footing. J bolt setting must precise to suit the design of tower column structure base. Concrete footing curing is allowed for 7 days before dismantling formwork. c. Tower & Tank Installation i) The steel tower structure comprising I-beam column

braced with c-channel and steel ladder is prefabricated ex suppliers yard in compliance specification and design. ii) Ensure crane in operable condition. Sling condition and capacity must be checked prior to lifting material object. ii) Upon arrival material at site, the tower is secured with double sling as safety precaution and lifted by crane and erected to site footings. Adjustment is made prior to anchoring to J bolt. iii) Poly tank of 8,000m each will be lifted by crane to secured position on top of tower. with consortium approved
