HOMEWORK: We really need to be looking at the checklist at the top of these parent letters. I do not always send the same type of homework each week, so you will need to refer to the checklist to check and see if the work was completed and put into your childs back pack before Friday. Remember, I do not send a lot of homework and allow 7 nights for it to be completed before it is due. I do this because I am looking for quality from homework, instead of quantity. If this routine is not working for you, you need to let me know We have talked about discussing our day with our families during dinner time. This is called Table Talk and a great topic this week is: Needs and Wants Some of us are convinced a DSI is a NEED! Ha ha! If you will be picking your child up early from class, please, please send me a note so I can prepare Room 42 is honored to lead the Halloween parade this year! You can come directly to our room at 8:17, as the parade wont start until 9:30 and we will be celebrating beforehand. Grandparents are welcome! Also, I would like to thank you in advance for all of your help with the Halloween party. Many hands make light work, (and lots of FUN!) so thanks! Bring & Brag- In lieu of a Show&Tell item that only one child brings in to share with the class, I would like to try something new this year: We will have our first Bring & Brag session on Friday and it will be each Friday from now on. On the paper provided, have your children write a sentence that describes the item of their choice. Then hide the item in a dark bag. Their peers will try to guess whats inside from the sentence! Looking forward to the week ahead, Mrs. Cronce www.protopage.com/mrscronce
