Imagine living in a country where the government has closed every single Catholic parish. There are no church bells, no masses, no confession and no church weddings. Proclaiming your faith in public can get you into jail or worse killed. Thats exactly what Catholics in Mexico were dealing with 85 years ago. Its shocking to many who know Mexico as a Catholic country. However, Mexico has a long history of anti-Catholicism, which reached a violent scenario from 1926-1929. The severe repression of Catholics and their rebellion -called Cristeros War or Cristiada is the subject of the movie For Greater Glory.

Hi to everybody and good morning, This is KNBC Radio station, reporting the news from Los Angeles.
Last night there was a spectacular train robbery, the Cristeros assault a federal train; a witness saw when the general priest Vega looked at his watch, then an armed group of Cristeros X.- Presentation of Students Podcasts for feedback. got in the train and after that they threaten the train driver, but he showed them his crucifix. Apparently he was a Cristero too and they did not kill him and immediately later there was a shootout in the train between Cristeros and Federals. The train was full of gold and coins and the Cristeros wanted to assault it to finance their war against the legal government and the President Calles and they was prepared to all to take the gold. Another person saw when the train arrived to the train station and priest Vega ordered to get the passengers off the train. After that, a few minutes later, Pablo got off the train too and the Cristeros took the passengers off the train; priest Vega was very happy for the result of the action and hugged him but suddenly the train driver, that wasnt really a Cristero, shot his brother and killed him. It was a very dramatic moment for pries Vega that later told a man called Francisco to bring the dynamite to blow the safe of the train. Immediately the Cristeros blew up the safe and the priest asked Francisco if all the passengers were off the train but he lied and told father Vega that all the people were off the train. Then priest Vega ordered to set fire to the train and when he listened loud screaming in the train he has realized that was not the truth. The scene was terrible; the Cristeros burned hundreds of innocent people alive inside the train. But we want know a thing: It was a revenge for the death of his brother or was it an action of hate for the federal ones? A thing is certain, obvious. IT WAS A MASSACRE!!!!!!!!!! An army general, spokesman of the government accused the Roman Catholic Episcopate ordered this atrocity and for this the same government forced the bishops to leave the country avoiding responsibility, but at the same time General Gorostieta had him first operating meeting with the military chiefs of the up risers. Dont lose next report of the Cristeros war against the Mexico leadership and the government for their rights and the freedom to profess the Catholic religion. Follow the news always on KNBC Radio station.
