IEP & Paperwork Organization

Organization of IEP & Paperwork Checklist

Is there a manageable way of keeping up with the calendar dates for IEP meetings? Is there a manageable way of easily organizing all of the required paperwork for the IEP meetings for your caseload? Are IEP meetings run professionally and as required complete with all necessary paperwork components? Is there a Lesson plan template that works? Are the Lesson plans organized and easily accessible to those who need them? Do substitutes have easy access to Lesson plans and other needed information in an emergency situation? Is there a system of organization for grading and analyzing student work? Is the classroom free from Paperwork clutter everything having a place? Is there a system in place so that the students can independently assist with the management of their own paperwork?

Suggestions for Use of IEP Paperwork Manager

Use with Customizable 3-ring binder Use with a Notebook color (neon green, bright yellow, red, etc.) that is

different from all others color coded

to help see this as IEP Paperwork. Use the same color with folders for IEP papers. The checklist for the front of this is included in this handout packet. Place heavy duty plastic pockets inside for papers you use often Have sections with index tabs and pockets for individual students. Include in these pockets paperwork that you need for each IEP. You may have several pockets per child and can keep up with all of the paperwork as you collect it and finish it per child. Include a calendar of IEP dates
