The CSIR-800 program goal is to augment incomes and improve quality of lives of 1 million citizens in Rural India using appropriate S&T interventions. The Program will be rolled out in village clusters in 25 backward districts across India by: documenting community needs; mapping these to technology solutions; sourcing relevant technologies within and outside CSIR labs; and engaging with entrepreneurs from the same communities. The CSIR-800 Program is looking for professionals seeking a special challenge -changing the lives of citizens at the base of the Indian economic pyramid through best-in-class technology. Professional positions are now open for:

I.

ONE PROGRAM CONSULTANT (Position Code: 001):


Job Location Age Limit Consolidated Fee : : : Bangalore, India Below 45 years Ranging from Rs.40,000 - 90,000/- per month

Qualifications & Experience: A Post-graduate in applied sciences PLUS a Diploma in any area of Management with 5 years of experience in managing large multi-disciplinary projects; OR An Honours applied sciences graduate PLUS a full time 2 years MBA/1 year full time executive MBA with 8 years of work experience in multi-disciplinary projects. Job Requirements (Major responsibilities): 1. Act as the main program implementer reporting to the Program Coordinator; 2. Be the primary contact for all partners, resolving issues and moving the program; 3. Plan, schedule and manage implementation of new and continuing projects to meet target dates, objectives, QA criteria and budgets following CSIR rules and guidelines; 4. Prepare project estimates and regular reports; 5. Communicate expectations clearly to all concerned to ensure timely deliverables; 6. Monitor projects on-site as well as the quality of delivered products; 7. 8. 9. Engage with external agencies and Partners; Organize design table workshops; Send out regular communication updates;

10. Provide independent advice to the Program Coordinator; and 11. Facilitate small- and large-group meetings and trainings.

TWO PROJECT CONSULTANTS ( Position Code: 002):


Job Location Age Limit Consolidated Fee : : : Bangalore or Delhi , India Below 40 years Ranging from Rs.20,000 - 60,000/- per month

Qualifications & Experience: A Post-graduate in applied sciences PLUS a Diploma in any area of Management with 2 years of experience of working in large multi-disciplinary projects; OR A Postgraduate in applied sciences with 4 years of work experience in large multi-disciplinary projects. Job Requirements (Major responsibilities): 1. Act as the main project implementer reporting to the Program Consultant; 2. Be the secondary day-to-day contact for external agencies and resources; 3. Together with the Program Consultant plan, schedule and manage implementation of new and continuing projects to meet target dates, objectives, QA criteria and budgets; 4. Prepare project estimates and regular reports; 5. Monitor projects on-site as well as the quality of delivered products; 6. Assist in the development of project work plans; 7. Track progress against project plans, making sure each element is on track; 8. Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in conducting field surveys; 9. Maintain official correspondence related to project activities;

Desirable:
1. Excellent communication skills on and off the field; 2. Capable of organizing meetings and workshops; 3. III TWO MEDIA & COMMUNICATION CONSULTANTS (Position Code: 003):

::3:: Job Requirements (Major responsibilities): 1. Maintain consistency of web design, layout, logos, packaging, photos, font types, illustrations and colour towards creating a Brand CSIR-800; 2. Advertise through social media channels to position Brand CSIR-800; 3. Create and maintain Blogs on CSIR-800 - activities and success stories; 4. Convey forcefully but simply the CSIR-800 message and achievements through various formats - coffee table books, PPT, video clips, brochures, posters, and advertisements; 5. Create clear content text engaging all societal levels.

Desirable:
1. Proficiency in Wikis, blogs, micro-blogs, social bookmarking, social networking, really simple syndication (RSS), MS Office XP, Photoshop, illustrator, Corel Draw, Dreamweaver; 2. Familiar with: Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress and Flash with some additional understanding of the languages XML, XHTML, CSS, JAVA, PHP, My SQL; 3. Highly self-motivated and confident to work with diverse individuals and groups by interacting and recording statements on complex community issues of the beneficiaries; 4. Excellent skills in writing English, media communications and be able to interact with TV programmers in advancing CSIR- 800 program for national interest.

ONE CONSULTANT FOR OUTREACH TO PARTNERS (Position Code: 004):


Job Location Age Limit Consolidated Fee : : : Bangalore, India Below 40 years Ranging from Rs.20,000 - 60,000/- per month

Qualifications & Experience: A Post-graduate in applied sciences (Social sciences, Environmental sciences, Social work, etc.) PLUS a Diploma in any area of Management; OR A Post-graduate in applied sciences (Social science, Environmental sciences, Social work, etc.) with 2 years of work experience in social projects. Job Requirements (Major responsibilities): 1. Generate collaborating partners and ensure contributions complement the CSIR-800 work program; 2. Track progress against project plans, making sure each element is on track; 3. Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in conducting field surveys; 4. Maintain official correspondence related to project activities; 5. Convey the CSIR-800 message and achievements with clear content text engaging all societal levels.

ONE CONSULTANT FOR DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OF FIELD STATIONS (Position Code:005):
Job Location Age Limit Consolidated Fee Qualifications & Experience: A graduate in applied sciences (Environmental sciences, Architecture, etc.) PLUS a Diploma in any area of Management; OR A graduate in applied sciences (Environmental sciences, Architecture etc.) with 4 years of work experience in design projects. Act as the main project coordinator of the CSIR-800 field stations; Monitor projects on-site as well as the quality of delivered products; Assist in the development of project work plans; Track progress against project plans, making sure each element is on track; Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in conducting field surveys; Maintain official correspondence related to project activities; Consulting with clients about the design of an environment. Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client; 8. Advising the client on the practicality of their project; 9. Using IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software; 10. Producing detailed workings, drawings and specifications; II. Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction and execution of GVK; 12. Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is managed.
