Written Instructions (Extra Help):

1.) Move the pre-made folder to the desktop (you can move it later, but place it there for convenience) 2.) Download the Minecraft_server.jar (Choose option A or B) A.) You can either use the link provided above, then scroll to the bottom under the "Multiplayer Server" Option and click on the bottom blue link that should say "minecraft_server.jar" B.) You can click the ".weblock" file located in the server folder 3.) Place the "Minecraft_server.jar" into the Server folder which should be in the following location, as long as you followed step 1. "Desktop --> Server - Minituff --> Server" (If you cannot find were the "Minecraft_server.jar" downloaded to check the "Downloads" Folder. 4.) Open the application "Terminal", located in "Applications --> Utilities ---> Terminal)

5.) Type this in (don't copy and paste, and no quotes) "chmod a+x " That is "chmod(space)a+x(space)" There is a space at the end. 6.) Then drag the "Start.command" into terminal. At this point it should look like "chmod a+x /Users/(Your UserName)/Desktop/Server\ -\ Minituff/Server/Start.command 7.) Press "Enter" and let terminal do its' thing 8.) Close "Terminal" 9.) Start the server by double clicking the "Start.command" 10.) Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------------------------

Q & A:
Q.) How do I stop the server? _____A.) Just type 'stop' in the server and press enter, and wait. Sometimes you will get an error, so type 'stop' again and it will close it. NEVER click the 'x' when the server is running! You can close it once it is stopped though, Q.) It says 'FAILED TO BIND PORT' _____A.) This is a common problem, but there are many solutions. If you are using port map, then you probably have entered the wrong ip or you closed your server wrong the last time. Open activity monitor, and find "Java" or anything mine craft or terminal related, and force quit it. If you don't have any of those that you found, then that's not the problem. Q.) When I click 'Start.command', it says I don't have permission? _____A.) Easy fix, this was shown in the video, you will need to open up terminal, and type in 'chmod a+x ' (there are 2 spaces in there) and then after the last space, you will drag in the start.command. If it doesn't work, then you need to be an admin on the computer. Q.) Port Map says router incompatible? _____A.) Well sadly, there really isn't anything you can do to fix port map, unless you want to get a new router, but there are two more

options. 1.) You can port forward without port map 2.) You can use hamachi Each of those steps was shown in the video. Q.) How do I start the server once I stopped it? _____A.) Just double click on the 'start.command' again. Q.) Does this cost any money? _____A.) No, as long as you purchased the game. Q.) I can't find my router ip in the system preferences? _____A.) Open system preferences, go to the network tab, then click advanced in the bottom right, and your ip's should be there. Q.) When I log in to my router it takes me to a different page? _____A.) That is because you have a different router than me, and thats fine, you will just have to find the port forwarding option yourself, sorry. Q.) I don't know my router's username and password? _____A.) Normally the username is 'admin' and the password is either 'admin' or left black but your might be different, so check this website for all the routers: http://portforward.com/default_username_password/ Q.) Can I make more than one server? _____A.) Yes, but only one server can be running at a time, you can have multiple servers, but they need to be in different folders Q.) When I try to join it says 'Bad Login'? _____A.) Most of the time it means you are trying to join when you are non-premium. I had it happen to me even though I bought the game, I Googled it and it says its a problem with the Minecraft servers and they are trying to fix it, what I would do, is wait a few minutes and try again. Q.) When I try to join, it says 'Connection Lost, End Of Stream' ______A.) That message usually appears when the server is turned off, but when it happens like that it's just a bug. Just restart the server, and restart your Minecraft. It could also be that you have not updated the server, make sure you update, I have a video on it. Q.) How do I restart the server?

_____A.) Well, there is no magical restart button, you will have to stop the server (see the fist Q and A) and start it again. Q.) How do I delete a server? _____A.) This is easy, all you have to do is make sure the server is off, see the first q and a, and then drag it to the trash. Q.) Is this a virus _____A.) I promise you it's not, and if it says that it is, then there is something wrong with your ant-virus. Q.) Where does the "Minecraft_Server.jar.weblock" take me? _____A.) It takes you to a direct link from Minecraft.net to download the server jar. The exact link is: https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/launcher/minecraft_serv er.jar which is the official download link from Mojang / Minecraft.net. Q Q.) It says 'outdated server'._____A.) Make sure you are running the latest version of minecraft, you can do that by checking 'force update' before you log in. Then go back to minecraft.net and redownload to 'minecraft_server.jar'. I also made a video on it: h http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhJCqUVdDzwQ.) How do I put m mods in the server?_____A.) Technically, this type of server does not support mods, but a CraftBukkit server can. I recently made a video on how to make one, check it out:http://www.youtube.com/watch? v v=IBdeUtTl_FwQ.) I can't break blocks?_____A.) Yes you can, by Q default you can't break blocks around the spawn area, so you can either move away from the spawn or make yourself an op (admin) see below.Q.) How do I make myself an admin (op)?_____A.) Make Q sure the server is not running, and put your minecraft username in the file called 'ops.txt' which is inside the 'server' folder. Or while the server is running, you can type this into the terminal 'op (Your Minecraft name).Q.) How do I change the difficulty?_____A.) In the Q server.properties, find the one that says 'difficulty' and change it to one of these numbers:0 - Peaceful1 - Easy [default]2 - Normal3 - Hard Q Q.) How do I change the game-mode?_____A.) In the server.properties, find the one that says 'gamemode' and change it to one of these numbers:0 - Survival [default]1 - CreativeNote* I have been told, that creative mode does not work in a server, I have not tested this myself, but just to let you know.Q.) I don't like my world, h how do I change it?_____A.) You just delete the 'world' folder that is inside your 'server' folder, this will randomly generate another new world.Q.) How do I add more ram?_____A.) Open up the Q

'start.command' with text edit and change the two numbers (as shown in the video) to one of these intervals:.5GB= 512MNow, notice how there is a 'M' after '512', this means mb, not gb, so if you just change it to 512 it will be '512 gb' so you will need to change the 'G' after both the 'M'. If you want to make it more than 1gb, then just change the number itself. (It comes default as 1GB) So you can increase that to whatever you want, as long as you don't exceed or meet your computers' ram.
Q.) I can't port forward, and port map won't work _____A.)You will need to use a program called hamachi. You will have to put your ip in the server.properties: 1.) Find he server.properties 2.) Choose 'Open With", Then click 'Text edit' 3.) If it is not there, you can search for it 4.) Also check the box that says 'Always open with' 5.) Find the section that says 'ServerIp' 6.) Downlad hamachi: https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/download.aspx 7.) Install it 8.) Open it and turn it on 9.) In the menu bar, click 'network' 10.) Then choose 'create a new network' 11.) Make an ID (Cap-Sensitive) 12.) Make a password 13.) After that, look next to the power button (on hamachi) for the IP 14.) Copy that into the server.properties Having someone join your server is not just as easy as having them type in the IP, so I made a video on it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWiIKYy1Hqg

Q Q.) It says 'Invalid Server Key'_____A #1.) It is not the problem with the server it self, it is a bug in the server software. Open and close Minecraft a few times and connect and reconnect to the internet. I was also told that it has something to do with the map, for example: If you put in a Beta 1.8.1 world, it will work fine, but if you use a 1.0.0 world, it gives you the error. Look for 'A #2' for another solution._____A #2.) Ok, if all else fails try this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EAyisQ3nkThis video is for windows bit it still works, getting into the 'minecraft.jar' is a little different though for mac. Just right click on the 'minecraft.jar' and choose 'open with' and click 'archive utility'. You should get a zip file, now delete your original 'minecraft.jar' and then

unzip the one you just created. Now it should be called 'minecraft'. Click on it and press enter to rename it, the add '.jar' at the end and confirm it, now you can edit it as you want.
Also the server is running 1GB of ram, if you want to change that just: 1.) Right click on the 'Start.command' 2.) Choose 'Open With", Then click 'Text edit' 3.) If it is not there, you can search for it 4.) That is also shown in my video 5.) Find this line '-Xmx1G -Xms1G' 6.) You can change the numbers to whatever you like as long as it is less than the amount of ram already on your computer. 7.) The numbers must be the same though 8.) 1G = 1 Gigabyte, 2G = 2 Gigabyte and so on. If you would like to change your wold, just go into the 'server' folder and delete the 'world' folder. Then start the server again and it will generate a random new world for you. Changing The Server World If you want to change the world to a world in a single player world: 1.) Go into the 'server' folder. 2.) Delete the 'world' folder 3.) Navigate to 'Users-->Library-->Application Support--->Minecraft" 4.) Then find the 'saves folder' and open it. 5.) Find the world you want. 6.) Right click on it and choose 'copy' 7.) Go back into your 'server' folder 8.) Inside somewhere (Not on a folder), Right click and choose 'Paste' 9.) Name the folder you just made 'world' 10.) Start the server again. Note* The spawn point might be slightly different in the server then in the single-player world. Giving permission to the Start.command You Must give permission for the start.command to access the minecraft_server.jar, to do that: 1.) Open terminal 2.) Type in 'chmod a+x ' {chmod (Space) a+x (Space)} 3.) Remember the space at the end 4.) Type all of it, DON'T copy and paste 5.) after the space, drag in the 'start.command' 6.) Press enter 7.) If you are still confused, it is shown in my video
