2. Primary function
Performing power system studies, namely short-circuit, load flow and power factor, motor starting, harmonic analysis Collecting the equipment and system data at the customer sites, compiling a system single line diagrams Presenting project reports at the customer site, training the customer personnel in interpreting t the study results, such selecting arc flash PPE, implementing the study recommendations etc. Installing power quality or energy analyzers, analyzing the data reporting on results Performing power quality and/or electrical energy audits at the customer sites.

Note: This position is posted for Hengelo, Netherlands but other locations in Central Europe will also be considered.

3. Knowledge and Competence


University degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of five (5) years of related experience Sound working knowledge of the medium voltage and low voltage distribution system topologies, power transformers, rotating machines (Generators and motors), electronic converters, electrical apparatus, witchgear, protection, system grounding, substation design (desirable) Good working knowledge of computer modeling of power systems, specifically short circuit, protective coordination (discrimination), load flow and harmonic studies. Experience with arc flash risk assessment or modeling will be considered an advantage Some experience in evaluating and servicing electrical distribution and/or protection/control systems would be desirable Good working knowledge of IEC/EN standards for electrical power equipment and systems Advanced to expert knowledge of power distribution systems, equipment, apparatus Excellent computer skills Good communication and cutomer skills Excellent command of English. Proficiency in one other major European language will be considered an advantage.
