Mass communication involves the transmission of messages from a sender to a large audience through various media like newspapers, television, etc. It can take various forms such as advertising to promote products, drama to improve communication skills, documentaries to present factual information, films for entertainment, books to disseminate knowledge, news to spread awareness of current events, and the internet which connects computer networks globally. Newer forms that have emerged include social media, online videos, and digital publications.

MASS COMMUNICATION

Introduction:
The transmission of messages from a sender to a large amount of people through various types of media, for example: newspapers, television etc, is called mass communication.

o Ways of communication

Advertising
Advertising is a form of communication for marketing and used to encourage, or manipulate an audience (viewers, readers or listeners; sometimes a specific group) to continue or take some new action.

Commercial advertisers often seek to generate increased consumption of their products or services through "branding," which involves associating a product name or image with certain qualities in the minds of consumer. Nonprofit organization may rely on free modes of persuasion, such as a public service announcement (PSA).

Drama
Drama involves acting out scenes in which people play the roles of individual characters and tell a story by acting out the behaviors of these characters. While some people enjoy the drama by itself, educators and therapists have looked to drama as a tool for accomplishing a variety of goals, including improving communication skill. Communication skills are a crucial part of successfully functioning in the adult world and are a common need for many careers.

Tel-e-film
A motion picture intended primarily to be shown on television , and not shown in cinemas. A television film (also known as a TV film, television movie, TV movie, Tel-e-film, Tel-e-movie, made-for-television film, movie of the week (MOTW or MOW), feature-length drama, single drama, and original movie) is a feature film that is a television program produced for and originally distributed by a television network, in contrast to theatrical films, which are made explicitly for initial showing in movie theaters.

Documentary
A work such as a film or television program, presenting political, social, or historical subject matter in a factual and informative manner and often consisting of actual news films or interviews accompanied by narration. Documentary texts are supposedly those which aim to document reality, attempting veracity in their depiction of people, places and events. There are some different documentary shows and films, Talk shows

Films
A film, also called a movie or motion picture, is a series of still images on a strip of plastic which, when run through a projector and shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images. Films are cultural artifacts created by specific cultures. They reflect those cultures, and, in turn, affect them. The visual basis of film gives it a universal power of communication. There are lots of types of films Action Adventures Comedy and etc.

Books
A book is a set of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of ink, paper, parchment, or other materials. Books may also refer to works of literature, or a main division of such a work. The main aim of book is to make information and communication easier for people with learning disabilities and others who find visual communication helpful. There are different types of books like: Fiction None fiction Historical Scientific and etc.

News
News is the communication of selected information on current events which is presented by print, broadcast, Internet, or word of mouth to a third-party or mass audience. They also help in spreading awareness and knowledge. Thus, it helps in communication.

Letters
A letter is a written message containing information from one party to another. The role of letters in communication has changed significantly since the nineteenth century. Historically, letters (in paper form) were the only reliable means of communication between two people in different locations. Letter writing is often distinguished from forms of computer-mediated communication (CMC), such as email and texting

News paper
A newspaper is a periodical publication containing news regarding current events, informative articles, diverse features, editorials, and advertising .News paper is a very important example of mass media as it can reach over a millions of people. Newspapers and Magazines play an important role in bringing a change. They also help in spreading awareness and knowledge. Thus, it helps in communication.

Digest
Digest is defined as breaking down into parts that are easier to use or understand, or to condense information to make it easier to understand. Hoarding Board
Hoardings are like large posters installed outside the open areas, highways, on the top of the buildings. Also you can see the boards inside the airports and other large facilities. They are very effective in delivering the message and

grabbing the attention of the customer as they are not surrounded by text and editorials, they are mainly picture based with minimum text.

Pamphlet
A pamphlet is a single sheet of paper with information printed on both sides. It is often folded in thirds to save space and ease distribution. Reading a pamphlet is a quick and easy way to digest information in a short period of time.

Demonstration
A demonstration or street protest is action by a mass group or collection of groups of people in favor of a political or other cause; it normally consists of walking in a mass march formation and either beginning with or meeting at a designated endpoint, or rally, to hear speakers. Basically demonstration means physically explaining something. Like a game they play it to and show how it played so others can see it.

Seminars
Seminar is, generally, a form of academic instruction, either at an academic Institution or offered by a commercial or professional organization. It has the function of bringing together small groups for recurring meetings, focusing each time on some particular subject, in which everyone present is requested to actively participate. Seminar will help participants become more effective communicators at work and in their personal lives.

Internet
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies.
