Job Title: Salary: Hours of Work: Responsible to: Responsible for: Job Purpose: To engage with the community to ensure that the LINk is representative of the community and represents the views of the community. To increase the diversity of the LINk membership, being creative and innovative to ensure that community members can participate and the LINk reflects the diverse local population. They will also ensure that all members are actively involved in the development process and have input into progress and solutions to social and healthcare issues. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensure effective engagement, to develop links with local residents, patients and stakeholders, actively creating opportunities to engage with seldom heard communities. 2. Undertake outreach work to seek views and encourage involvement in LINks 3. Support the LINk membership to develop and implement a community engagement action plan, and facilitate community involvement in the LINk 4. Effectively engage communities so they are able to raise issues around delivery of health and Social Care. 5. Encourage and promote diverse membership identifying relevant communities of interest and hard to reach groups 6. Supporting working groups, taking minutes and action points following up on LINk tasks 7. Identify appropriate opportunities to promote LINks and encourage volunteers 8. Draft regular performance reports for the LINk Co-ordinator and LINk members 9. Research/gather appropriate info for LINk members to be able to progress work plans 10. Facilitate/Arrange requests from suitably trained LINk members to visit/view health and social care organisations 11. Ensure that LINk members conduct LINk business appropriately and within their given powers 12. Support the LINk and associated sub groups to develop and implement work plans/Marketing Strategies/communication strategies 13. Support/Encourage LINk members in effective community engagement and consultation with the wider Rotherham Community for views and perspective of LINk work plans 14. Ensure LINk members fully supported when representing LINks at strategic and operational boards 15. Ensure that LINk members adhere to protocols and refer any issues with conflict management to Project Co-ordinator LINk Development Worker NJC Scale 6 35 hours a week. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary to carry out the duties of this post. LINk Co-ordinator N/A
