Introduction
What is a Project Individual /group completed & welldocumented project, is a clear demonstration of the students capability to handle /solve a common problem /task by using his knowledge & practical effort by using a computer, hardware and software environments available. Examples

The aims of a completed project are to, Asses the demonstrated capability of the student in solving a common problem, to demonstrate the application of a computer to solve common problems by using the available software & hardware environments, & to demonstrate & explain ideas of the project in a standard documentation.
Few such simple features can identify a project of this type; it should target to solve a common problem in the society, which may include a database, algorithms, hardware & software or menu systems, inputs & outputs with a set of given routines.
For both computing and information technology projects, the system must involve a user inputting data of some kind, and obtaining output, the production of a documentation about some aspect of computing is therefore not suitable.
Project work must run on a PC or related computer system with the available software & hardware with a clear & well-documented standard documentation. It should target to solve a common problem in the society, which may include, a database, algorithms, hardware & software or menu systems, inputs & outputs with a set of given routines, with a clear & completed documentation.

Maintenance
What happens during the rest of the software's life: changes, correction, additions, moves to a different computing platform and more. This, the least glamorous and perhaps most important step of all, goes on seemingly forever.

Questionnaires
Questionnaires are a series of questions designed to get specific information from their readers (participants). Some questionnaires require yes/no answers; others ask for a choice from a set of presupplied answers, and others ask for a longer response or comment. Sometimes questionnaires are sent in electronic form, and sometimes they are given to the users on paper.
Interviews
Interviews involve asking the participants a set of questions verbally. Often interviews are face-to-face, but they dont have to be. If interviewed in their own work or home setting, people may find it easier to talk about their activities and respond by showing the interviewer what they do and what systems and other artifacts they use. Interacting with a human encourages people to respond effectively.

Studying Documentation
Procedures and rules are often written down in manuals and these are a good source of data. Such documentation should not be used as the only source as everyday practices may augment them and may have been devised by those concerned to make the procedures work in a practical setting. Thus, an idealized account is given in the manuals, as compared to everyday practices. There are no targeted rules to decide which methods are the most appropriate for identifying specific research needs.
