Post-Game Quotes
ASTROS MANAGER BO PORTER: Is it the errors that made the difference in this one? I would say so. The defense has been solid all year and tonight it let us down. Its even more disappointing after what Kuechel was able to do tonight Our starting pitching has been outstanding. Even throughout this stretch in which weve lost some ball games, its definitely not to the fault of our starting pitching. Theyve done a great job again tonight. One of the strong suits which weve leaned on this whole year is our infield defense and tonight we just didnt play well from a defensive standpoint. Corporan is one of those we talk about every time he does something, and again tonight, putting you guys back in there That was a big pinch-hit and it allowed us to extend the game. Corp has been doing a great job all year in the role weve had him in as a backup catcher. Each time we put him in the game he finds a way to make positive things happen. How do you get the guys out of this little rut? Do you just tell them to keep doing what theyre doing? You just have to keep plugging away. Its all part of it and its one play here, one play there. Its like we talk about, the break points, and right now were losing those crucial break points and the other teams are capitalizing. Give Seattle credit tonight, they capitalized on our mistakes.
