What is an EASA Part-66 B Licence?
From 28 September 2006, for aircraft above 5700 kg, and 28 September 2008 for all aircraft, the only Licence acceptable for use in Europe for signing an aircrafts Certificates of Release to Service will be the EASA Part-66 Licence. The EASA B Licence comes in several categories depending on the aircraft type and equipment fitted. An EASA Part-66 B Licence is valid throughout the EU and those countries still affiliated with the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA). In addition, many other countries around the world recognise the Part-66 Licence or have their own version of it. Currently, 30% of UK Licensed Engineers work overseas, where their experience and qualifications are in great demand.

The University of Glamorgan and the International Centre for Aerospace Training (Cardiff and Vale College, situated at Cardiff Airport) jointly offer this innovative Part-66 B Licence and Honours Degree programme.
