An Angels Passion #8 of 9 The Final Assault

Narrator: The Adversary held the Church in his grasp. Through his efforts the world of Christianity was plunged into a time of darkness in which the Church held immense power even believing that it held sway over the scriptures. But the light of the Creator can never be extinguished and finally the power the Church had clutched for so long, was broken. Men began to study the Scripture again and rediscovered the true Faith, a faith that was not based on rules or rituals but rather a deep abiding faith in the Incarnation, Death, and Resurrection of the Son of God. Time went on and the Return of the Lord came nearer. A group of people was raised up with the purpose of spreading the message of his soon coming. To counteract this the Adversary began his final assault on the People of God. Knowing the power of the Youth upon future society he assigned the majority of his demons to destroy them by whatever means possible. I was assigned to a young woman named Natalie during this time and anger still fills me at the thought of the lies she was told (Young girl with her back to the audience is sitting at a desk with a pen and paper. Kimi-el is standing over her. Darian is some distance away, seemingly held back) Darian: Please, Natalie, dont do this! Please! Natalie: Dear Mom and Dad Kimiel: Ha! DearHow sweet. I doubt they think the same about you. Youre just a problem. Darian: No your not, they love you! You are not just a problem! Kimiel: Well you are the one who ruined their marriage. I suppose your Father still might love you, after all you helped him get a new family. But I wonder if your Mother will ever forgive you. Darian: Natalie, your parents divorce wasnt your fault, your parents made their own decisions. Kimiel: Just write! You have to do this before you lose the nerve. Hurry Up! Natalie: Im writing this note to say that Im sorry, Im sorry for all the problems Ive caused. Ive decided that things would probably be better if I werent around Kimiel: Of course they will be. For once in your life you arent being selfish, everything you do screws everything else up. Darian: Remember Natalie, you were made for a reason. Page 1

Kimiel: Well you might have had a purpose, but youve wasted it. Youve said and done too much for God to love You, or to even think of you. Now get to writing! Natalie: Tell everybody Im sorry about this. I know it will be embarrassing to have a daughter that has committed suicide, so dont worry about a funeral, I know those are spendy Darian: Please Natalie! Dont do this! Ive seen the Creators face when he talks about you, He Loves you and He has a plan for you. Kimiel: Ill bet He had a plan for that baby you shouldve had, too. (whispering in her face) So, do you think it wouldve been a boy or girl? Darian: Natalie! You are Loved! Nothing you can do will change that, remember Jesus. Remember the cross. Kimiel: No! Remember the drugs! Remember the alcohol! Remember the lies! Your Mother still doesnt know about that night. You told her you would be at Stephanies, but I dont have to remind you of where you really were. Darian: You can make it all right. Its not too late! Kimiel: Just imagine the disappointment on your Mothers face. Shes already dealt with a lot. What she doesnt need is a screw up for a daughter. Now get to writing! Natalie: I just cant do life. Every time I try something, I fail. I know Ive been a disappointment as a daughter. I hope you can forgive me, someday Kimiel: Forgiveness? As if you could be forgiven. Forgiveness isnt for screw ups like you. You would go right back to whatever it was. Youre all out of forgiveness! Darian: Natalie, forgiveness doesnt run out, it never fails. Kimiel: Finish your note! Natalie: Tell the twins that I Love them, that they are beautiful. And tell them not to be like their big sister, I hope they can forgive me too, for everything Im not Kimiel: Forgiveness, again. I told you; You arent worth the effort. Darian: Natalie, I saw God die on a cross for you! He thinks youre worth the effort. Kimiel: Oh, God again. If he even exists hes certainly fed up with you. Im pretty sure youve broken every commandment. Lets see. Youve lied, cheated, stolen, murdered Need I say more? Page 2

Natalie: Please dont feel guilty for this whole thing. Its my fault, I know that. Again, Im sorry for the embarrassment I know how hard its been for you guys Darian: Natalie, theyre your parents they love you because you are theirs. Kimiel: Then why did your Father leave you and your Mother to start a new family, sounds like he was pretty proud of you. Darian: Your father is human, all humans fail. His failure has no effect on your worth. You are worth something because you live. Jesus didnt die for good people he died for all people. Kimiel: You shouldve thought of that before you cut your own babys life short, it could have been something! You dont deserve to live; you hurt everything you touch. Just end it now. Natalie: I Love You, guys, and Im sorry, Natalie. (Cell Phone rings) Darian: Its your Mom, Natalie. Pick up the Phone, Please! Pick it up. Kimiel: You cant answer that! Shell just ask where you are. How will you answer that? Well, Mom, Im gonna commit suicide. NO! DO NOT Answer the Phone! (Natalie doesnt Answer the Phone) Darian: Natalie, Just call your mom. You know you can always talk to her! Kimiel: Really, always? Ill tell you what will happen if you talk to your Mom. She wont see you anymore. Shell see wild party girl who couldnt control herself, and then couldnt even get out of her own mess. Thats what shell see. Thats what shell think of every time she looks at you. Besides she has enough to think about without having to fix you. Darian: No, Natalie, she loves you and the Creator loves you. You are worth something. Dont give Up! (Phone Chime) Darian: Natalie, its a text. Open it! At least listen to your Mom! Kimiel: No, you cant! You know youll lose your nerve. You cant do this! Darian: Its just a text. You can do this. Please do it! For your Mom!

(Natalie starts the message) Message: Hey, Hun, its Mom. Just callin to see how your doin. I want you to know that Ive been praying for you. Its weird. Ive just had this feeling all morning that I needed to call you. I hope your ok, I know youve been having a hard time lately, with the divorce, and all.. Anyway, I love You, and I know Jesus Loves you. Call me when you can, bye. Darian: (to God) Thank You. (Kimiel throws his cape on Natalie, who is crying desperately, then pushes her to the ground.) Kimiel: No you dont! You think you can break free so easily? Think again! I will so smother you with depression and sadness that you will never break through! I own You! Darian: Natalie, call to Jesus he will help you. Reach for him Natalie! Kimiel: No, it wont work! You are too bad! Darian: It will work Natalie! He loves you. Call to Him! Please! Natalie:(in agony) Jesus, Help me! (Darian charges and, though Kimi-el attempts to resist, easily knocks Kimi-el to the ground) Darian: Your rule is over Demon! Be Gone! Kimiel: You really think so? She is a weak and spineless child! She is still ours, and when she is tired of you she will come back to me. Darian: She may. But that is her choice, and this was her choice. We protect her now. Narrator: And so Natalie, was freed. That night she told her Mother everything, and I was present to see a wounded heart begin the healing process. There were ups and downs, and she returned to her old ways more than once, but she soon realized the difference that the Lords love made in her life and began walking with him permanently. Natalie grew to become one of the great leaders of Gods Faithful as they prepared for the coming hardship and the Eternal Reward.
