1.0 OBJECTIVE To define preparation and installation work instruction procedure for Hacking Works & Grouting Back Opening installation to be follows by site trade men and worker for The Construction And Completion Of The Proposed Cadangan Membina 24 Tingkat

Pangsapuri Servis (418 Unit) Yang Mengandungi: (i) 3 Tingkat Sub-Basemen Tempat Letak Kereta (ii) 1 Tingkat Tempat Letak Kereta Dan 10 Unit Kedai Kos Rendah (iii) 2 Tingkat Yang Mengandungi Kemudahan Pejabat Pengurusan, Pusat Tuisyen, Pasar Mini, Surau, Gimnasium, Tadika, Kafeteria, Kolam Renang Dan Lain-Lain Kemudahan Berserta Unit-Unit Kediaman Servis Apartment Dan Tempat Letak Kereta (iv) Blok D, 23 Tingkat (209 Unit) Pangsapuri Servis (v) Blok E, 23 Tingkat (209 Unit) Pangsapuri Servis (vi) 1 Unit Pencawang Elektrik Utama (vii) 2 Unit Pondok Pengawal Di Atas Sebahagian Lot PT 34809 (HSD 101012), Serdang Perdana, Mukim Petaling, Daerah Petaling, Sg Besi, Seri Kembangan, Selangor Darul Ehsan For Prop Park Sdn Bhd
2.0 SCOPE This procedure apply to this project which require the hacking work and grouting back opening at hacked / opening point. 3.0 MATERIAL / MACHINERIES 3.1 Hacker Machine 3.2 Sika Non Shrink Grout Cement 4.0 PURPOSE To ensure that the installation of pipe embedded in beam comply with specification and standard practice. 5.0 WORK METHODOLOGY 5.1 Hacking Work a. b. To mark clearly the position of hacking point onto R.C as intended position proposed by project consultant. Confirmation of hacking area will be grant from project contribution provide to hacking which at intended area. Once confirmed, hacking bit securely fixed onto the machine. Ensure that workers provided with protective equipment (PPE) such as goggles, safety helmet, boots, and glove.

Before start hacking, ensure the selector switch is switched to breaking or drilling Commence hacking onto the beam at low speed to ensure precise placement of bit. Just guide the machine during hacking and do not lean onto it. Upon completion, clear the debris. Cart-away all the debris to a designated location or out of site areas. Commence the installation of pipe/conduit. Once complete, patch back the opening using sika-non shrink grout cement.

a) The patch back of opening are illustrating as figure below.

a. Mixed Non-shrink grout cement & water with correct proportion as supplier recommendations. b. Clean up the area before fill the left over gap with non shrink grout cement. c. Leave it for 24 hours before opening of the formwork. d. The pipe connection will be commencing as per pipe & fittings installation.

6.0

INSPECTION AND TESTING An inspection request form (RFI) will be extended to Client/Consultant representative and jointly witness by contractor's representative for them to verify the installation work. While the work is still in progress and once the final work has been done the inspection by the consultant representative shall be carried out to ensure the conformance of installation work as per approved work methodology. An inspection request form (RFI) shall be enclosed with the checklist, drawing and submission checklist as follows: (i) Inspection Checklist of the Installation of Hacking Work & Patch Back of Opening Inspection Checklist (1st Fix) & Consultant Approval. i. ii. iii. iv. All the points required to be inspected has to be marked in colour on the drawing which will attach together with the visual inspection form. Comments made during the inspection will be documented on the Request for Inspection (RFI) form. Subsequent (RFI) will be submitted as attachment to verify the rectification work as per initial comments made until the final approval is sought. Please find a copy of Inspection Checklist of the Installation Hacking Work & Patch Back of Opening attached.

PREVENTIVE ACTION Ensure all concrete work is accordance to work method statement and specifications and do proper installation of the piping services before concreting works. Allow opening only for the pipes sizes.

SAFETY AND HEALTH a. b. c. d. e. Workers should be equipping with personal protection equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety helmet and etc. To wear goggles when using the fibredisc pipe cutting and when pluming the overhead drop in anchor to protect the dust from entering eyes. To wear mask when drill the raw plug holes for overhead installation. Protection against electrical hazard with using proper tools and equipment. All the power tools need to use properly to avoid any accidental events which are dangerous to the workers.
