Preamble
K.L.N.College of Engineering is the first self financing Co-educational Engineering College in Madurai started in the year 1994 and is sponsored by a committee of eminent industrialists and academicians led by a great philanthropist Shri.K.L.N.Krishnan. This college has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. This college is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institutions and offers seven U.G. programmes and five P.G. Programmes. This college campus situated in a quite environment about 11 KM from Madurai city. This college has excellent infra- structure, well equipped laboratories, library with online subscriptions and other general facilities.

Registration Fee
Faculty members from colleges/Industries: Rs 750/Research Scholars/Students : Rs 500/The fees should be sent by Demand Draft drawn in favor of The Principal, K.L.N. college of Engineering payable at Madurai. The fee includes the Workshop kit, working Lunch and Refreshments. No TA & DA will be paid.However on request, accomadation could be provided in the college hostel at moderate charges Last Date for recipt of applications Intimation of Acceptance

Department Profile
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 1994. It runs a Post Graduate course in Power System Engineering besides the Under Graduate Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has exceptional infra-structure facility with Laboratories and IEEE Library. Further it has excellent computing facilities with the latest softwares.

About the Workshop


Power is the key contributor to the development of country's socioeconomic infrastructure. The exhaustible reserves of fossil fuels and their volatile market prices further contribute towards energy insecurity of nations. Government recognizes the central role of energy in this context and need to have a policy for efficient use of conventional energy, proactively establish and promote sustained use of new and non-conventional energy sources and applications to reduce emissions and related impacts of climate change.
