2. NOISE - The neighborhood in which you are living is very particular about excessive noise at night. Please
be respectful of others. Every BSML resident/student has the right to a reasonably quiet environment in which to study and to pursue his or her other interests. The School expects all students to respect this right and to be aware of the impact of their activities on their neighbors. Please be a good neighbor to other students and our neighbors in the surrounding community. Please do not let doors slam behind you, do not bound down the stairs, and do not listen to music, watch TV, or talk loudly after 10:00 p.m. 3. NO OVER-NIGHT GUESTS ALLOWED - Your apartment is not co-ed. All guests must leave the premises no later than 10:00 p.m. 4. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN CLEANING The rate does not include maid service. However, we have assigned a person to vacuum, clean the kitchen and the bathroom once a week. You are responsible for keeping the apartment clean. Living with fellow students requires respect and sensitivity toward housemates. This means that common areas should be kept neat and orderly out of courtesy toward roommates. To help your understand what is required of you, please read the following: Kitchen - must be kept clean at all times. Do not leave dirty dishes, pans, or any other kitchen utensils overnight. Leftover food, cans, containers, wrappings and any other trash must be discarded in the proper containers and removed from the apartment on a daily basis. BBA has provided outside containers for this purpose. Bathroom - Do not leave personal belongings in the bathroom. Make sure to clean up after yourself. Remove hair, toothpaste, and any other residue from shower, sink, and toilet. Discard any empty containers. Dropping heavy objects may cause damage. Be careful! Living Room - Keep this common area free of personal belongings and/or uneaten food. Bedroom - You must keep your room clean and organized at all times. Do not leave clothing, shoes, books, socks, food, plates, etc. on the floor. Bed linens and 2 towels are provided but are not changed. 5. CHECK IN & CHECK OUT - New students check in on the weekend. BSML will post the arrival schedule on the Apartment Bulletin Board located in the hallways by the Records Office. All students are expected to check out of the apartment on Saturday by 12:00 noon. If you need to prolong your stay beyond this time, you must come to the office one week before your departure date and make arrangements. Additional nights are $55.00. 6. MOVE OUT PROCEDURE - Once you are ready to move out, please leave the set of keys in the Check-out Box located outside the apartment. There will be a charge of $25 if keys are not returned. Prior to departing, please remove all food and beverages from the refrigerator and cabinets as well as all personal belongings and discard in the dumpsters. 7. SMOKING POLICY - Buckingham Apartments is a smoke free property. Any Violation of this policy is subject to a $200 fine.
8. CANDLES/INCENSE - No candles, oil lamps or any open flame devices are permitted in the apartments at
any time.
Failure to follow these rules will result in an extra charge for cleaning, repairing or replacing damaged property, and/or cancellation of your accommodations.
