1. Who is a Judge? Ans: i) A Judge is a deliverer. ii) A Judge is a leader who led the Israelites from oppression. iii) A Judge is a warrior inspired by the spirit of God. 2. What was wrong with the people of Israelites and why was God angry with the people of Israelites? Ans: The stories follow a consistent pattern. The people are unfaithful to God and He therefore delivers them into the hands of the enemies, the people repent and retreat God for mercy then God sends a leader to save them from oppression and they prosper. But soon they fall again into unfaithfulness and the cycle is repeated. 3. Who was Adoni-Bezek? Ans: Adoni-Bezek was the king of Canaanites and a mighty king who over throned 70 kings from their thrones. 4. Who was elected as the Judge of Israelites after the death of Joshua? Ans: Judah was the Judge after Joshua death.

Ans: Adoni-Bezek did so because of the following reasons: i) To forbid them to use the weapons. ii) To dishonor the person. iii) To make them unbalanced in running. 6. Who was Othniel? Ans: Othniel was the son of kenez, the brother of Caleb. He was chosen as the Judge of Israelites after the death of Judah. 7. Why did God give his people in the hands of the heathen king? Ans: God gave the People of Israelites into the hands of the heathen king because i) The people of Israelites forgot the true god. ii) They started worshipping the heathen gods. iii) They did evil against God. 8. How did God punish the people of Israel when they started worshipping the heathen gods? Ans: i) God sold His people to the heathen people. ii) The people of Israelites lost their freedom. iii) They were treated as slaves. 9. What did god do when the people of Israel repented? Ans: i) God heard their cry. ii) God had forgiven them iii) God gave them a Judge iv) God delivered them from oppression. 10. What do you learn from the life of Othniel Ans: the one who seeks god will be lifted up. 11. Who was Ehud? Ans: Ehud son of Gera the Benjaminite, a left-handed man. He was a Judge of Israel, a courageous and a man of wisdom. 12. How did Ehud kill Eglon? Ans: Ehud made a double edged sword about a cubit long, and tied it in his right thigh. He brought a tribute payment to the king Eglon. After that Ehud said to the King, that he has a secret message for him. Ones he reached the king, Ehud by his left hand, pulled the sword from his right thigh, and drove it into Eglons belly. 13. How Sisera was killed? Ans: Sisera went into the tent of Jael the wife of Heber. Jael welcomed him and took him inside the tent. Sisera asked for water but she gave him milk. After he had gone asleep, she took one tent peg and a hammer and drove the peg right into the forehead of Sisera and killed him.
