J Grobler PDF

The document proposes amendments to three South African national standards for bitumen emulsions: SANS 309 for anionic emulsions, SANS 548 for cationic emulsions, and SANS 1260 for invert emulsions. It describes the types of emulsions covered by each standard, as well as some specific tests and requirements around residue on sieving, sedimentation testing using soap solutions, and particle charge testing. Compliance with the standards requires the product to bear the certification mark of the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). The document was presented by Joe Grobler of Vela VKE.
