Deployment Versions

ED = Early Deployment (Offers new feature, platform, or interface support) MD = Maintenance Deployment LD = Limited Deployment (period between first shipment and GD) GD = General Deployment (Suitable for deployment anywhere in customer networks) DF = Deferred (known defects, not avail for download, should not be loaded on your router)

A.B = the major release i.e. 12.3 or 12.4 (C) = the maintenance version, higher number means more bug fixes, any bug fix from a previous version is included in the next version D = if present means its not a major release but an extension of one.
