RESEARCH
Research Interests My long-term research interest centers around the development of decentralized algorithms for large scale distributed systems. Currently, my research focuses on supporting large scale collaboration by bringing together distributed resources, and developing localised schemes that helps achieve a global objective of large scale distributed systems in collaboration. I have been particularly interested in investigating the potential of the peer-to-peer technology and have developed associated techniques for eciently supporting collaborative activities throughout my PhD study, postdoctoral research and current work.

TEACHING
Lectures Electronic Commerce (bilingual teaching)(2006-10) discussed technological topics from a managerial perspective that cover how businesses make use of electronic commerce to create new products and services, reduce the cost of business processes, and improve operational eciency, and how businesses and organizations adopt dierent strategies when doing business online (taken by undergraduate students). Specialized Computer English (bilingual teaching) (2006-13) covered key concepts and select topics relating to current information technology (taken by undergraduate students). Data Structures (2007-13) explored the use and development of data structures in programming systems (taken by undergraduate students). Select Reading of Scientic Literature in Computer Science (2007) introduced scientic publications that report the state-of-the-art technologies in various elds of computer science (taken by masters students). The Semantic Web (2009) provides an introduction and guide to the emerging Semantic Web eld, describing its key ideas, languages, and technologies (taken by masters students).
