1.0 Call to Order at 2:10 2.0 Roll Call: 2.1 Present: Advisor DeeDee Cole, President Tiffany Bellani, Vice-president Sarah Bertelsen, Treasurer Sheila Cooper, Secretary Cynthia Gutierrez, ICC Representative Albert Arredondo. 2.2 Absent: N/A 2.3 Guests: Adam Diaz, Lori Kaiser, Stephanie Meza, Gebren Blakely. 3.0 Agenda Approval: Agenda approved by President Bellani and Vice-President Bertelsen 4.0 Minute approval: Minutes approved by President Bellani and Vice-President Bertelsen 5.0 Unfinished business: 5.1 Officers present themselves 5.2 Workshops ICC Representative says we are working on creating workshops for members. We are trying to get speakers. When we have more information we will tell the club members. 5.3 Bulletin Board President Bellini describes the different items on the bulletin board. I.e volunteer opportunities, facebook, job opportunities, and current events. 5.4 T-shirts President Bellani describes the different prices for the Child Development Club t-shirts and hoodies. 5.5 Volunteer 5.5.1 Volunteer Folder Secretary Gutierrez says that there will be a folder available to all members to look through during meetings and see the volunteer opportunities available around our community. 5.5.2 Victor Valley Rescue Mission Secretary Gutierrez says the Child Development Club will be working with the Victor Valley Rescue Mission to help sort over 2,000 pounds of food for their annual Thanksgiving Banquet. All the help we can get will be greatly appreciated. 5.6 Lending Library President Bellani says details for the lending library are still being worked out. She says the club is trying to gure out where to get books if possibly to get them donated. She explains the lending library will be available to all members to borrow books. 5.7 ASB Halloween Event President Bellani says the Child Development club will be helping with the ASB Halloween event for the state preschool children. She says the cost will be about $25 Everyone agrees with the cost. She asks Treasurer Cooper if she could get the money the club needs. 5.8 Facebook The ICC representative Arredondo asks for everyone to like the Facebook. There will be Volunteer opportunities in more detail on our Facebook. Also we will keep all our members up to date on any events or if they should miss a meeting they will be able to stay informed. 6.0 New Business
6.1 Speaker From Brandman University: Speaker Blakely says that Brandman University has a child development transfer program, called an early advantage program. She says they have a scholarship opportunity if youre graduating in the Spring and you can start in the fall those who enroll will be awarded a free class. You can go to the website, to the drop down menu, and click Victor Valley. You have to do three applications. She can direct students to the academic advisor. This is for the coming Fall semester. Every year they have a new program. The program that they have now started in June. If we have questions we can meet up with them in the ATC building. Secretary Gutierrez asks if they have a psychology program. She says yes, they do she does not have much information on the psychology program at the moment but that we can get information on all their programs on their website. Speaker congratulates the club on their second meeting and says to generate more interest for the beginning of spring semester we should do a hot link sale or a sale in general promoting the clubs next meeting and for that meeting the club should have a speaker. Representative asks if it would be possible to get teachers to come and speak about their experiences as a teacher or possibly a learning seminar about a teachers certain specialty. Speaker says she is going to talk to her academic advisors about getting someone to come in the spring to give a workshops. 6.2 Questionnaire ICC Representative passes out the questionnaire. 6.3 Membership Form ICC Representative Arredondo passes out membership forms. 6.4 CDTC Money Advisor Cole says the forms for the CDTC are on Facebook. She says, we have to be working in the eld if we pay for it all out of pocket we can get it all reimbursed. She will also be holding a Permit training on Friday, November 16 in the morning. 6.5 Fundraising Treasurer Cooper says Del-taco wants us to hand out yers. We pass them out to students when they go to del taco tell them to take the yers and we will get a percentage of each receipt total with each yer. President Bellani asks which Del-tacos will they be able to bring the yers to. Treasurer cooper says she will ask the manager which Del-tacos. 7.0 Financial Report 7.1 Budget: $50.00 8.0 Next Meeting 8.1 First and third week of every month on Wednesdays at 2 PM. 8.2 There will be an exception for the meeting for the month of november the meetings will be the second and fourth week of the month. November 14th is our next club meeting. 9.0 Meeting Adjourned at 3:10
