Writing: Writing Workshop- Small Moments


We are continuing the writers process with our small moments. Our focus will be adding voice into our own writing and reviewing how to effectively edit and revise our work.

Math: Place Value


This week in Math we will learn to compare and order numbers. We will also start rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. There is a Place Value quiz on Tuesday.

Science: Rocks and Minerals

Our focus this week will be on minerals. We will be examining several different minerals and identifying them on the MOHs Identification Key. There will be a quiz on Friday over rocks and minerals. You can find information to study for the quiz in the Earth Materials Study packet that will go home on Tuesday. We will begin studying fossils and soils next week.

Please send in field trip money as soon as possible. $9.00 for Diamond Del is due before September 20 th.
The total for all field trips mentioned in the letter is $38.00.
