Question Words Intermediate Lesson Plan
Question Words Intermediate Lesson Plan
Title: Question Words Level: High beginner/intermediate Skill areas: Practicing asking/understanding questions Materials Needed: Worksheets (attached)
Method (How will I teach it?): Targeted learners Directions Review question words with students. Explain when to use each word and what the answer of that question will look like. Use your own examples of questions for each specific word. Write them on the board. Have students answer the questions asked if applicable. Either assign part B as homework, or assign class time for part B to be completed. After the question words are understood, have students complete part A of the worksheet. The answers can be any question word that was reviewed. Not every word will be an answer to the questions in part A. Once students are finished, review the answers with them. Have the students work on part B. Once it is completed by each student, have them work in small groups or pairs to review the answers. Tell the students to ask the questions they have written to their partner or group. Then have the group answer the question if applicable. When all the students are finished, have each student read one question they wrote to the entire class. Time
