This document provides instructions for preparing a USB flash drive to locally commission a Huawei eNodeB. This document will describe how to load both software and config on Huawei eNodeB using a USB dongle.

Check list do not go on site without the below items: 1. USB dongle provided by Huawei (The USB dongle must be Huawei issued)

2. eNodeB software - SPC375

File size: 10 x 35 MB File location: Teamspace - UK VDF MORAN Project http://app-301.huawei.com/sites/ukvdfmoran/SitePages/Home.aspx Download 10 files from: Project General Documents >SOFTWARE >4G LTE eNodeB SPC375 Extract the files on the USB dongle. After extracting the dongle will have a single folder named eNodeB, this folder will contain the Software folder. This step does not need to be repeated for the next eNodeB.

3. eNodeB config
This step will describe how to load the config file. Please note that each site will require a new config. If the dongle has been used to commission other sites please remove previous config files.

Config location: Teamspace - UK VDF MORAN Project http://app-301.huawei.com/sites/ukvdfmoran/SitePages/Home.aspx Download config from: Project General Documents > DEPLOYMENT > 4G eNodeB config files

Please extract the downloaded file on the USB dongle Example: extract on F:\ without selecting any folder, after extraction the USB should look like below:

4. Connect the dongle in the LTE BBUs USB port on the UMPTa2 and wait 20 minutes
After 20 minutes the eNodeB will be operational.
